ERA LIVING
CHALLENGE: The current form of record keeping at Era living is in binders, and the main form of gaining information from outside providers such at Podiatrists or Physical Therapist is through fax. This is slow and inconvenient, causing much frustration.
SOLUTION: Create a web app that will allow for easy and secure access to information without flipping through binders filled with papers
WHAT I LEARNED: Much of this was general knowledge I already had, but the importance was heavily reenforced in this project.

- The more information I have in the beginning the better - A lot of my information had a depth that was missing. There are many aspects to the info that I did not have when building the wireframes that would have been helpful earlier on. More time devoted to research would have benefited me greatly.
- Information Architecture take a lot of time - I spend a lot of time reorganizing the pieces of information into categories that made sense and tested this with a nurse to make sure

PROTO-PERSONA: Maria Flores
BIO: Maria is a hard working woman who loves to serve. She’s been working with the elderly for about 5 years now and though the work is difficult, she is glad she works here at Aljoya. She has built up some great relationships with the residents and they spend a lot of time together.
STORY: Maria has a new resident that was just checked in. It has already been a hectic day. Molly fell down and had to be taken to the ER, Geo forgot to take his pills and he’s been acting up. On top of all that, it’s a full moon. She has a lot to learn about this new patient and needs to know what her needs are. If only she could just get the run down of what to expect from this new patient.
GOAL: To effectively and effciently care for my patients so it leaves more time to truly care.

Plan
This project continues and has more pieces being added and reorganized to support the story of the resident.
Design
There were many changes along the way in how to display the information and the design is continuing to change as new information from the stakeholder has been revealed.
